Sacred Space: Weaving your story

Rev. Dr. Rebecca Prichard and Rev. Dr. Hilary Oxford Smith

Come and join us for a weekend retreat . . .

Knot-work panels, entwined creatures, trumpet spirals, triskeles and illuminated lettering drawn in the Book of Kells, the Book of Durrow, the Lindisfarne Gospels and other Celtic manuscripts, express the interwining of material and spiritual, heaven and earth, visible and invisible, known and unknown, ancient and new. They draw us nearer to the heart of God and to one another.

This is an opportunity for you to create, in an encouraging environment, your own Celtic knot-work design or illuminated lettering. Decorative motifs, templates and underlays will be available to help you. All materials will be provided. (No drawing or artistic experience is required.) ‘ Our creative work will be accompanied by the music of harpist, Julie Saraswati.’
