The Rev Martin Davies
Martin Davies is a New Zealand Anglican priest now living in Sydney. Ordained in 1982, Martin served as a parish priest and later as a diocesan ministry educator.
The Benedictine Cistercian tradition is a guiding influence in his life. He is an Associate of Southern Star Abbey, Kopua, and has undertaken sabbaticals at Mepkin Abbey USA and Tarrawarra Abbey, Victoria.
Martin graduated Bachelor of Theology from the University of Otago in 1979. He completed studies in Christian spirituality for the SCD Master of Theology degree in 2005. Martin is currently undertaking further study on the spiritual formation of priests.
In 2012 Fr Martin became Director of the St James’ Institute, Sydney, implementing the education and formation ministry for St James’ King Street, the wider church and the city.
